Climate Activists are like Toddlers having a Tantrum

Modern activists are like toddlers in a supermarket having a tantrum because mummy won’t buy them a chocolate bar or a new toy. Like screaming children, they pay no thought to the suffering they cause and can’t identify how their selfishness burdens others and can cause distress.

Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself

– Philippians 2:3
God Save the Poor from Environmental Extremists

Activists in another era fought to end the slave trade and slavery, for democracy and human rights. Modern activists fight to deny the poor the right to affordable and efficient energy sources, and to mutilate children to change their sex/gender because of a feeling.

For where envy and self-seeking exist, confusion and every evil thing are there

– James 3:16
The Lack of Compassion is Shocking; It’s All About Me!

As these activists shut down roads, railways and shops, they exhibit no compassion for people who are stuck enduring their tantrums. These people trapped in traffic include carers rushing to the next patient, nurses and doctors, parents trying to pick up their children from school, adults holding down two jobs to keep their mortgage payments up, people rushing to hospitals and workers stocking our shelves with food and goods.

Millions of people are struggling and extreme environmentalists should consider the pain they are afflicting upon working men and women. A few years ago, I walked through Parliament Square in London, England, which had been surrendered to hippie environmentalists by the police. I felt I had entered an alternative reality, as the bongo drum mob seized the area for themselves. It was fun for them, but what about all the workers who keep London going? Selfishness is blind.

Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others

– Philippians 2:4
The Poor are Suffering and Dying Now

Due to the enormous rise in energy prices, the poor are freezing to death, unable to buy food and suffering in silence. Those who want to end the supply of cheap and efficient energy sources, and replace them with expensive and inefficient green energy don’t care how the poor will suffer.

Environmental Doom Prophecies Have failed

In 1989, a United Nations official warned that “entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels if global warming is not reversed by the year 2000.” Noel Brown concluded that “governments have a ten year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human” ability to stop it. All the green prophecies about nations being underwater by 2000 and others have failed. In fact, humanity has been reclaiming land; merely consider Dubai, Hong Kong and the Netherlands.

The Ice Age ended due to Natural CO2 Emissions

Extreme activists have been brainwashed with a one-sided version of our changing climate, forgetting the earth has always had sudden changes in the climate; just think of the shift out of the ice age. It wasn’t fossil fuels which changed the earth’s temperature back then, it was volcanic eruptions.

Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves

– Matthew 7:15
A Green Future must be Affordable for the Poor

It’s the ministry of prophets and preachers to stand up for the poor, and to give them a voice, so the noise of the superrich won’t drown out the sound of the poor’s suffering. Perhaps renewable energy will become cheaper and more efficient in the future, until then, the poor need affordable energy so farms and factories can produce food for all, and transporters, trucks and trains are financially viable to convey it to shops, and the poor can buy it and take it home to a place they can afford to keep warm.

Open your mouth for the speechless…
And plead the cause of the poor and needy

– Proverbs 31:8-9
God Forgive Extreme Environmentalists for their Lack of Compassion

Next time you see a celebrity receiving a standing ovation for his speech on climate change, remember he’s going home on a private jet to a mansion, whilst the poor are suffering in silence at home, without food, heat and hope.

Some Activists are Mentally ill

In psychology, Munchausen syndrome is a condition where an individual injures him or herself, so the person becomes the centre of attention. This condition combined with exhibitionist narcissism, leads to people needing to remain the centre of attention, to draw everyone’s focus upon their concerns, regardless of the impact upon others. Some activists are motivated by fear of an environmental apocalypse; others are ill and are being manipulated.

Those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but unrighteousness

– Romans 2:8
Me, Myself and I

Western culture treats people who have suffered with sympathy and those who are considered virtuous with respect. Therefore, activists who want attention seek victimhood or claim they are working for a righteous cause, without thinking about the real implications. Also, older people with an agenda manipulate the young to utilise them as pawns for their money-raising agenda, just as the BLM organisation did. Just think of the activists who fought to end nuclear power in the 1960s; their legacy was to create our fossil fuel dependency and greater CO2 emissions. Who profited?

In the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy

– 2 Timothy 3:1-2
The Religious Desire

These individuals have been taught nihilism as a scientific fact, following a contemporary religion where one worships environmentalism, sacrificing the good of others to serve their god, to fortify themselves from the end time apocalyptic climate catastrophe that their prophets predict.

They reject Christ, but possess the need to worship and nature becomes their god. The religious instinct is deep in them. Therefore, they summon people to repent for the sin of wanting to be warm, to travel and to be able to afford food, and our national repentance to the god of environmentalism is played out by embracing renewables that make us all poor.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you cleanse the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of extortion and self-indulgence

– Matthew 23:25
Choose Life

These radical environmentalists perceive themselves as victims or martyrs to a god who needs its followers to remove a cancer from the earth – human beings – to save the planet. Christ has been replaced by the spirit of antichrist in their hearts.

The Bible tells us God has given us everything to richly enjoy and to use the resources on the planet for our good (Genesis 1:28, 1 Timothy 6:17). Scripture tells us Christ comes to convey His abundant life to us today and for eternity, and Satan wants us to live miserable lives and to spend eternity in hell. Choose life this day!

Jesus said, “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly”

– John 10:10
Christians Founded Environmentalism for the Good of People

As I explain in my book How Christianity Made the Modern World, the modern environmental movement was founded by Christians, who argued we must care for the world because it’s where God’s creation lives. We care because we must love as Jesus commanded. This concept has now been flipped by post-Christian environmentalists who declare humans must suffer to protect the planet. Mark Carney, the former Governor of the Bank of England estimates the cost of financing the net zero pledge to be around $100 trillion! That’s money that could lift every person out of poverty in the world and provide them with a future, or they can spend it making the green pioneers of the future immensely wealthy. What’s ethical?
