The Korean War, Intercession & Revival
God is opening up the world. He has men in all the countries. I have told the Lord that I will go to Korea. I am exercised about it. There are things I have to finish here now. If someone could go, tens of thousands could be reached with the Gospel.

Korea – North and South, Revivals & War – Last 125 Years
The first Korean religious revival, the Wonsan Revival Movement (1903-1906), peaked in 1906 with 30,000 new converts in that single year. However, the movement waned and disappeared by the middle of that year. A second wave, the Pyongyang Great Revival (1907-1910), followed. Prior to this revival, Pyongyang in 1907 was a city notorious for its vices, known for ‘wine, women, and song.’

A prayer that changed a family's destiny. August 1912, the month of Samuel Howells' birth, saw his parents, Rees and Lizzie, petitioning for African missionaries. Then, a Divine intervention: "I will send you." This unexpected answer thrust them into a profound dilemma. Their infant son, Samuel, could not survive the African climate, making this commission a test of their faith and obedience.
