Korea – North and South, Revivals & War – Last 125 Years
The first Korean religious revival, the Wonsan Revival Movement (1903-1906), peaked in 1906 with 30,000 new converts in that single year. However, the movement waned and disappeared by the middle of that year. A second wave, the Pyongyang Great Revival (1907-1910), followed. Prior to this revival, Pyongyang in 1907 was a city notorious for its vices, known for ‘wine, women, and song.’

The year 2025 commemorates the 140th Anniversary of Korea’s Protestant Church (1885-2025). In 1807, Dr. Robert Morrison of the London Missionary Society became the first Protestant missionary to China.

Korean Revival & Evangelistic Campaigns 1950-80s
I saw revival in Korea. I saw more than 25,000 persons profess to accept Christ as Saviour within six weeks. I saw more than four thousand persons daily at 5am prayer meetings. I saw hundreds continue all night in prayer for days on end.
