The Work and Legacy of the Holy Spirit
An Ongoing Living Legacy from Generation to Generation
This is what the Sovereign Lord says,
“Let it be known throughout the lands, My Kingdom will come and My will shall be done. Old wells, old pals and their networks
cannot prise or profit from the work of the Holy Spirit.
“The high Heavens belong to the Lord, but He gave the earth to man. Man may purchase a plot of land, on which the Holy Spirit
has dug a well, in and through the sweat, blood and tears of others who have laid down their lives, as a seed of corn in previous
generations. But the living water in the well always remains with the Lord; until such times that the new owner pays the full price
in God’s currency of unconditional surrender of one’s body, mind and will.
“In these days of instant tea, coffee, mash-potato and automatic washing machines, there is no instant or automatic right, or way
to receive the Holy Spirit’s anointing or to walk in His power. As Simon of Samaria, a captive of sin, learnt to his cost. He could
not purchase the Holy Spirit or His anointing and had no part, or share in God’s work [Acts 8:5-24].
“The Holy Spirit’s spiritual gifts are indeed gifts, given for the common good. But His fruit, the fruit of His character and His
power and anointing comes at a cost. The Holy Spirit as a Person, entered the life of Jesus, as gentle as a dove at His baptism, and
it was the Holy Spirit who led Jesus from the Jordan River into the wilderness. Jesus having overcome all of the temptations of
the devil, returned to Galilee in the power of the Holy Spirit!
“It was the acts of the Holy Spirit working in and through the bodies and minds of Jesus’ disciples that turned their world
upside down. There is resurrection power available to all who are called and chosen, after the crucifixion of their flesh and
self-will. That is the price to be paid.
“The legacy and the inheritance of Rees and Samuel Rees Howells* and their team, is not to be found on the former site of the
Bible College of Wales, but in the abiding faith of the cross, the blood, and in the Holy Spirit as a Person, and in His will.
It is He who will guide you into all truth and it He who brings true conviction to the world of guilt, regarding sin. Without
His true conviction, there can be no true repentance, forgiveness or rebirth.
“Many in this generation are running here, there and everywhere after an anointing or a double-portion of another’s spirit.
Rees Howells, his son Samuel, and the staff members of the former Bible College of Wales learned that without the Holy Spirit,
they could do nothing when they came to face the enemy in spiritual warfare.
“The true and everlasting legacy was not theirs to give to others, or for others to take, but for those like them in every
generation, who abide in the Vine, as a branch. It is the Holy Spirit and the intercessions He made through them that counts.
The flesh counts for nothing.
“It is the work of the Holy Spirit that endures and is everlasting. He bears all, and suffers in and through those bodies where
He resides and abides, in the Father’s perfect will – just as Jesus did while on the earth, and continues to do so while sat at
God’s right hand, interceding for the saints.
“Rees Howells and his team of intercessors offered their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, as their spiritual
act of worship. They no longer conformed to the pattern of the world by the transforming and renewing of their minds. By so doing,
they were able to test and approve what My good, pleasing and perfect will was, by allowing the Holy Spirit to make them one in
spirit and in truth. He interceded through them and the world was turned upside down once again in their generation. Without the
Person of the Holy Spirit living in their fully surrendered bodies, there would never have been any intercession, or legacy.
“The Holy Spirit is the only Person living on the earth today who was present at the crucifixion and the resurrection. He and He
alone is the only true Intercessor, legacy and birthright of the Body of Christ. He is the Spirit of Truth, just as Jesus is the
Way, the Truth and the Life. When you embrace and abide with the Holy Spirit, you embrace and abide with the Father and the Son
also. It is foolishness to believe that the Body of Christ can fulfil the Great Commission without the Holy Spirit having full
possession of your bodies as His temples.”

The Holy Spirit
Jesus spoke of the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:49, John 14:16-17, John 16:7-15 and Acts 1:8).
God will give the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him – not the disobedient (Acts 5:32).
Your Heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask – have you? (Luke 11:13).
The Holy Spirit will not come and fill dirty vessels (Isaiah 52:11b). Be holy because God is holy (1 Peter 1:16).
Grieve not the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30-31).
Do not resist the Holy Spirit (Acts 7:51 and Proverbs 29:1).
Do not quench the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19-20).
Be filled with the Holy Spirit – are you? (Ephesians 5:18).
