There is hope! This is what Susan, a 14 year old said about her experience:
“At first I felt like Mum and Dad’s divorce ruined my life. I hated my new school and I didn’t know anybody. But once I got used to my new school I really started to like it. I made a lot of new friends and I helped to produce the school newsletter.
I never would have done that at Banbridge. There, only the prefects were on the school newsletter team. It set me up to study journalism in college. Sometimes, though, when I talk to my old friends, I wish Mum and Dad were still together and we still lived in our old house. But since they both seem happier now, I guess it was all for the best.”
