1. When cooking use healthy cooking techniques such as steaming, grilling, poaching and dry-frying.

2. If you have to use oils in cooking consider using a healthier type, such as sunflower, low fat spray oils, olive and extra virgin olive oil.

3. Donít overeat on junk food, and try to stay clear of excessive fats and refined sugars.

4. If you are peckish and need a snack, try to take a healthier option such as fruit, toast or yoghurt rather than cake or chocolate.

5. Dieting can help you lose weight, but a change of lifestyle is needed to maintain it.
