Leadership Survey A survey for the National College for School Leadership shows that over half of British adults think head teachers provide good examples of leadership. But ironically the survey reveals respect for heads and the job they do is not as high as for doctors. 58% say they have a great deal of respect for doctors while only 38% say the same of head teachers. The next best leaders according to the survey are officers in the armed forces 37%, closely followed the police with 33%. Amongst the lowest scoring are local politicians and health service managers both with 4% and civil servants with only 3%. |
