Was Jesus' body stolen? 1.The Romans, had no reason to keep a dead body. Pontius Pilate washed his hands of all responsibility. 2. The Jews asked for the tomb to be guarded! 3. The disciples did not invent the story of the resurrection. They suffered terribly for what they had seen and testified about. People give up their deceptions when it becomes unprofitable. 4. The disciples did not even realise that Jesus would rise again, they thought it was all finished, their dreams were shattered.
